If you’re planning a trip to San Diego and love exploring the great outdoors, you’re in luck—this area boasts some incredible hikes you won’t want to miss. To help you navigate these stunning trails, we’ve curated a list of the top 10 scenic hikes with the absolute best views in Southern California. Lace up your hiking boots and get ready to explore the beauty that awaits!

1. Potato Chip Rock, Mount Woodson (San Diego)

Arguably San Diego’s most famous trail, ask a local when you get here! Potato Chip Rock is named for its unique, thin rock formation that resembles—you guessed it—a potato chip!
